Who:    The Friends of the Matawan Aberdeen Public Library recognize the library’s valuable service to the community and support programs for the extension and improvement of library services and resources.

 

What:  The Friends of the Matawan Aberdeen Public Library is a non-profit organization comprised of individuals, families, and organizations within the community who:

  • Support the organizational needs of the library through volunteer services and financial backing.
  • Foster a better understanding of the library’s role, its functions, resources, and services to the community and advocate its importance to residents and policy makers alike.

 Through member donations and used book sales the Friends have been able to provide the following:

  • Support for the Summer Reading Program
  • Support for staff training and appreciation
  • Funding for improvements to the youth services area
  • Additional library materials
  • Funding for library programs
